Day 16: Clown

CLOWN
noun

A person who habitually jokes and plays the buffoon.

A rude ill-bred person.

A fool, jester, or comedian in an entertainment.

An insignificant, obnoxious, or incompetent person.

All of the above and more.

To be a clown is a lot of times to be a caricature of self. To play for the audience. To entertain. To annoy. To dazzle. To piss off. To eventually lose yourself. To eventually actually become a caricature.

Beware of the clowns that you recognize carry sadness within for they can grow on you. Beware of them for they appear kind and have a knack for eliciting pity from you. If you ignore these signs you just may find yourself slowly getting addicted to them and then when they disappear one day you will feel the loss quite heavily.

Hence, get ahead by running as far away as you can from clowns that appear to be sad. By doing so you just may save them from becoming nothing more than a cheap laugh and occasional prat fall.

In conclusion, save sad clowns lives by ignoring them. Sure there’s always a chance that by ignoring them you will make them even sadder…
