MEDITATION
noun
A practice in which an individual uses a technique – such as mindfulness, or focusing the mind on a particular object, thought, or activity – to train attention and awareness, and achieve a mentally clear and emotionally calm and stable state.
Its purpose spans from spiritual, religious, mindful to simply a way to relax and free your mind. It helps you to achieve inner calm even if you are surrounded by what appears to be a never ending chaos.
Perhaps the most important aspect of meditation is to keep doing it. If nothing else it offers a temporal refuge from the stressful outside world, a chance to simply be with yourself.
Also, it’s a beautiful way to ground yourself in being fully present in “here and now.”
