1977

it’s a game
just the way you are
life is the fast lane
don’t look back

it’s a heartache
when I need you
slip slidin’ away
goodbye girl

Day 43 of 100 of a ridiculous challenge that combines my love for music and my morbid fantasy to start writing once again. The poem above is a collage of song titles that topped the charts in 1977 when I was 2 years old and my existence was not yet compromised and corrupted.
My predictably overambitious goal is to create one “collage poem” every day for 100 consecutive days. Some days i feel it, other days I dread it for some tunes remind me of the past adventures and misadventures that a lot of times left me scared and broken…
