1993

wired all night
I feel you
livin’ on the edge
too many ways to fall

two worlds collide
the devil you know
said I loved you…
but I lied

Day 31 of 100 of a soul searching challenge that hopefully brings me to rediscovery of my desire to write once again. The poem above is a collage of song titles that topped the charts throughout the year 1993 when I wrote (and then directed the year after when it premiered in a national cultural center) a theatre play that I audaciously titled “Sense of Nonsense.” Yes, yes, I was arrogant from young age forward…
My laughably overambitious goal is to create one “collage poem” every day for 100 consecutive days. So far it’s been an engaging experience that is showing me how much fun “collage writing” is. I so fucking got this! For real, I do!
