mercury flows inside
bursts through gushes
out robbing him of
colorful vision cutting
the line destroying one
reality to create another he
senses his birthmarks
throbbing pulsating and
growing until darkness
consumes him whole leaving
him surrounded by echoes
of beauty once taken for granted
now etched into his heart
the smile the lips the gaze
image of immortally beloved
