as i wandered deeper into the darkness
long branches hovering above
sharp leaves showering all over
tiny cuts awoke tiny drops of life
rushed to the ground
morphing into magic spells
i suddenly heard the heart beat of the forest
it called out, whispered softly
“welcome back, we missed you!”
and just like that I was home once again
