1933

lover
the day you
came along
I found a new way

lover
did you ever see
a dream walking
isn’t it heavenly?

lover
how could
we be wrong
let’s fall in love

.

Day 61 of 100 of a splashy challenge that combines my love for music and my desire that some day I will write yet again. The poem above is a collage of song titles that topped the charts during the year 1933.

My marvellous goal is to create one “collage poem” every day for 100 consecutive days. As promised, today I attempted to create a “lighter” collage poetry.

    1. Thank you so much! It was really the only way that “forced” me to sit down every day and “write.” Even though it’s mostly only word collages it is at least something. It’s also proving to be quite a lot of fun… Plus, MUSIC!!!!

    1. Thank you so much for taking the time to not only read but also add a lovely comment that further ignites the mind to dwell some more on the words already pieced together. I love your interpretation of it and quite honestly now can’t see it in any other way… You are a brilliant gem, dear Allison! ❤️

    2. As for the bird, it’s actually from a crow family, local name for it is Planinska kavka. English translation would be Alpine chough or Alpine crow.
There’s an interesting story behind this photo. I took it in 2017 when I climbed my way to top of Karawanks mountains that are a natural border between Austria and Slovenia. Highest peak is named Stol (literal English translation is Chair). The whole top of the mountain range is bare of any plants, however, as I reached the top I noticed about a half dozen of Alpine crows circling above. As I sat on top of Stol I noticed that Alpine crows are landing closer and closer to me. Since I am always on a hunt for a great photo I took a few pieces of nuts and threw them a few feet away from me. One of the crows immediately flew down and ate them in peace. I started to throw pieces of nuts closer and closer to me. This crow either didn’t see me as a threat or just didn’t care for he came as close as a few inches away from me. I have dozens of photos of him sitting next to me. Then just for fun I threw one of the nuts up in the air and bam! I was in for the crows’ ballet in the sky show that I will never forget. Initially just the one crow was flying up and down to catch the nut, however, after a few moments another joined him and soon this photo came to be… 😉 There are so many beautiful things and interaction one can have in nature. You just have to go out and allow yourself to be dazzled and awed like we all were when growing up. Lastly, my last name is actually Magpie (in Slovenian language) which means I am always attracted to birds. After all they know the true meaning of soaring free… 😊❤️
