she’s mad
again tonight
little miss
can’t be wrong
who’s gonna ride
your wild horses
sometimes love
just isn’t enough

Day 49 of 100 of challenge that combines my love for music and my optimistic thinking that some day I will write yet again. The poem above is a collage of song titles that topped the charts in 1992 when I fell in love with a girl I knew I’d never get yet I fell head over heels for her anyway because why not experience another painful heartbreak?!
My perfectly reasonable goal is to create one “collage poem” every day for 100 consecutive days. Tomorrow I will be half way done!
Oh man, 1992.. I was in eighth grade and I know exactly what you mean. There is no head over heels like that, or heartbreak like that. Crushing, defining. And this photo is magic, beautiful.

I couldn’t agree more. In many ways I think we chase that first feeling of being in love for the rest of our lives. The potency of the first time is simply put pretty much impossible to match later on… Thank you for the kindest words, dear Allison. xxx
